Protecting personal data is important to us, and maintaining your trust is a priority. This Privacy Notice explains how information that you provide to us, or that we collect about you, may be processed for the purposes set out below. It applies to visitors to our website www.t-medical.ps (the “Site”) and to our wider business relationships with healthcare professionals, business contacts, suppliers, principals, job applicants, and others.

You may sometimes receive a separate, more specific privacy notice – for example during a recruitment process or a pharmacovigilance interaction. Where a specific notice conflicts with this one, the specific notice prevails for the purpose it was given.

1. Other websites and links

Our Site may contain links to third-party websites – for example those of our principal manufacturers, regulators, or service providers. Those sites operate under their own privacy notices, and we are not responsible for how they handle your data. Please review their notices when you visit them.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Identity and contact details – name, job title, employer, professional credentials, telephone number, email address, and postal address.
  • Professional and business data – for healthcare professionals, suppliers, and business partners: specialty, institution or account, licensing details, correspondence, and records of our dealings with you.
  • Website and technical data – IP address, device and browser information, and usage data collected through cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookies section.
  • Recruitment data – if you apply for a role: employment and education history, qualifications, references, nationality, and other information relevant to your application.
  • Health and safety information – where you report a side effect, product quality issue, or other safety matter, we may collect health-related information about the patient concerned. See the Pharmacovigilance section, which explains why this is necessary.
  • Correspondence – feedback, enquiries, and the content of communications you send us.

3. How and why we use your data

We collect, use, and process personal data to operate our business and serve our partners, including to:

  • respond to enquiries and manage our communications with you;
  • manage relationships with healthcare professionals, institutions, suppliers, and our principal manufacturers;
  • distribute, supply, and provide information about pharmaceutical products in line with our licences and obligations;
  • meet our regulatory, quality, safety, and legal obligations, including Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and pharmacovigilance requirements;
  • assess and onboard suppliers, partners, and prospective business opportunities;
  • evaluate job applications and conduct related checks;
  • operate, secure, and improve our Site; and
  • establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

We process personal data where we have a lawful basis to do so – including your consent, the performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, the protection of someone’s vital interests (relevant to safety reporting), or our legitimate business interests, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.

4. Pharmacovigilance and product safety

As a pharmaceutical distributor, we have a legal and ethical duty to monitor the safety of the products we handle. If you report a suspected side effect (adverse event), a product quality complaint, or a special situation (for example use during pregnancy), we must record and act on that report.

To do so, we may collect information about the patient affected – which can include health data and other sensitive information – together with details of the reporter. We use this information only to assess and follow up on the safety matter and to meet our reporting obligations to manufacturers and health authorities. We keep it to the minimum needed, restrict access, and share it only where required for safety and regulatory purposes, as described below.

5. How we share your data

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it where necessary with:

  • Our principal manufacturers (the pharmaceutical companies whose products we distribute), including for contractual, regulatory, and mandatory safety-reporting purposes;
  • Health authorities and regulators, including the Palestinian Ministry of Health, where we are required or permitted to report or disclose information;
  • Service providers who support our operations – such as IT, logistics, and document-management providers – under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection terms;
  • Professional advisers such as lawyers, auditors, accountants, and insurers;
  • Authorities, courts, or other parties where we have a legal duty to disclose, or to establish or defend legal rights; and
  • A successor entity in the context of a reorganization, merger, or transfer of part of our business.

6. International transfers

Some of the parties we work with – including several of our principal manufacturers and certain service providers are located outside Palestine, including in the European Union and other countries. As a result, your personal data may be transferred to, stored in, or accessed from jurisdictions whose data-protection laws differ from those where it was collected. Where we make such transfers, we take steps reasonably necessary to ensure your data remains protected and is handled consistently with this notice.

7. How we protect your data

We apply technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Access is limited to personnel who need it, who are bound by confidentiality obligations and our internal policies. As a GDP-certified distributor, data integrity and security are part of our quality framework.

8. How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this notice, including to meet legal, regulatory, quality, and safety obligations. Pharmacovigilance and certain regulatory records are kept for the periods required by applicable rules – generally [insert retention period, e.g. 10 years] or longer where required by law. Other records are retained for [insert period] after the end of our relationship. When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights in relation to your personal data, including to:

  • request access to the personal data we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • request deletion of your data in certain circumstances;
  • object to, or ask us to restrict, certain processing;
  • request a copy of certain data in a portable format; and
  • withdraw any consent you previously gave, without affecting prior processing.

Please note that some rights are limited where we must retain information for safety, regulatory, or legal reasons – for example, pharmacovigilance records generally cannot be deleted on request. To exercise any right, contact us using the details below.
